Customizing DITA Functionality
This set of topics describes how to customize the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) standard functionalities of the DITA CMS.
Note: In DITA 1.2, support was added for keyrefs to allow users to define variable words or phrases to be added to a map. Keyrefs replace the need for map and text variables. For this reason, you no longer need to define variables, and the Ixiavariables.mod file is no longer used. For more information about keyrefs, see the DITA CMS User Guide.
Note: Changes that you make to configuration files are applied when users log in to their respective DITA CMS applications. To have changes applied immediately, tell users to synchronize their configuration files. (See Synchronize configuration files.)
