These procedures let you assign documents to people and designate the due dates and approval systems.
Documents are assigned to different sets of users at different points in the document development cycle. Graphic artists create images that are reviewed by editors and technical experts. In some installations, authors create topics in the initial stage, and then the editors and technical experts review them. In others, subject matter experts create the topics and writers and editors do the polishing.
Whatever document life cycle you follow, DITA CMS offers functions that let you easily assign documents to the user roles that are responsible for them in each phase and set due dates for each set of users.
Users can keep track of their assignments and due dates in their Todo Lists.
