Intended for a range of users, from those who have little to no knowledge of markup languages to those who are familiar with HTML, XML, or even DITA, DITA CMS Web camouflages the complexity of DITA and allows users to work on the content in a simplified, user-friendly environment.

Known Issues

The following is a list of issues identified in this release:

  • [DEV-465] Tables created using the simpletable element cannot be modified in the Editing page using the tools on the Table menu. To make changes to the table, use the right-click menu and insert or remove the desired elements.
  • [DEV-1304] Topics that contain embedded SVG images cannot be opened.
  • [DEV-1687] Tables containing large images, multiple images, or long string of characters may fall outside the margins (run off the page) in the Preview page.
  • [DEV-2108] Actions done in Internet Explorer are performed slower than in other browsers.
  • [DEV-2487] DITA CMS Web does not support elements nested within an alt element. If the alt element contains anything other than text, the topic will be prevented from opening in DITA CMS Web.
  • [DEV-3579] When a topic is imported into DITA CMS and then assigned to a user for editing in DITA CMS Web in a deployment where theForceTrackChangesoption is set to "True", the track changes feature is not enabled if the topic is identified as a first revision of the object.

Major bug fixes

  • [DEV-3906] When users created an assignment from a Content Store using Dynamic Release Management (DRM) module version 4.2 or earlier, the assignment was not displayed in DITA CMS Web. This issue has been fixed so assignments created from the previous DRM versions are accessible from the Assignments page.
  • [DEV-3912] In some cases the script used to update DITA CMS Web to a newer version did not perform the operation correctly. This issue has been fixed, but resulted in changes to the procedure for performing an update of an existing DITA CMS Web deployment.

Bug fixes

  • [DEV-3602] Annotations on the Collaborative Review page did not work in Internet Explorer 11. This issue has been fixed.

* Indicates that configuration changes need to be applied to benefit from the new features or fixes.
